Abstract: This report presents agricultural information for each of the 50 States and the United States. Included are data on population, land use, agricultural production, farm income, value of assets on farms, and selected characteristics of farms such as size, tenure, and farm organization. The primary data sources are the 1982 Census of Agriculture, and the 1983 Economic Indicators of the Farm Sector, published by the Economic Research Service. Unless otherwise stated, data are for 1982.
