Setting Smalltown Research Priorities: The Service Delivery Dimension

Abstract: This report examines alternative options for local government service delivery and financing in rural areas with a focus on potential constraints to their use. Research gaps are identified and topics suggested for future research, with a focus on service delivery and financing options, policy implementation, and local capacity-building. Simulated case studies are suggested to meet priority research needs.
