Agricultural Trade, Agreements, and Disputes in the Western Hemisphere

Abstract: This report describes and assesses the major bilateral and multilateral arrangements guiding agricultural trade relations among Western Hemisphere countries and details the recent and ongoing agricultural trade disputes between the United States and its Western Hemisphere trade partners and competitors. The report does not analyze these multilateral arrangements or current issues in great depth. Rather, it attempts to present a broad picture of international institutions affecting Western Hemisphere trade.
