Abstract: The objective of this paper is to evaluate the Corn Technology Assessment project from the viewpoint of its being a pilot project of the broader-type of commodity-specific technology assessment. More specifically, the discussion will center on : a definition of TA; objectives of the TA; delineation of production systems (by commodity or by technology); a framework of analysis; and the process of identifying specific technologies.
