Abstract:
This report focuses on the regional economy of Northeast Minnesota and, also, a portion of Northwest Wisconsin. It covers past trends, current directions of change, and future prospects under varying assumptions. Projected economic impacts of these changes are presented as a basis for discussion of such controversial issues as large-scale mineral exploration and development.
