Abstract:
The new Farm Bill, the Federal Agricultural Improvement Act (FAIR) of 1996, contains numerous new provisions which mark important breaks with the past. In this brief summary, we will focus on three areas of potential interest to an international audience, first briefly detailing the changes, then offering a view from one author's perspective as a practicing farmer in South-Central Minnesota.
