Abstract:
The Rural Financial Services Support Programme (PAPSFRA), implemented between 2014 and 2022, was designed to help reduce rural poverty in Benin by enhancing the availability of financial services tailored to the needs of small-scale producers, including women and youth. PAPSFRA focused on strengthening the institutional and operational capacities of the Financial Services Association of Benin (ASF) to provide reliable, accessible, and effective financial services to rural small-scale producers. This impact assessment was conducted in 2023 using a mixed-methods approach that combines quantitative household and community-level surveys with qualitative interviews, complemented by focus group discussions and key informant interviews.
