Financial Profile of Cooperatives Handling Grain: First-Handlers, $1 Million to $4.9 Million in Sales

Abstract: This report presents basic information on local cooperative associations that are first-handlers of grain, hereafter referred to as first-handlers or grain cooperatives. Participating associations had annual sales in 1984 of between $1 million and $4.9 million, with grain sales accounting for more than half of total value of sales. Most associations also handled farm supplies and provided related services.
