Abstract:
This report provides information on the ways a cooperative can manage its equity capital to achieve and maintain proportionality of investment, regardless of the type of capital plan used. It discusses the different methods of accumulating and redeeming equity and methods of managing the processes. The report stresses the importance between the board of director's role and that of management in managing the cooperative's equity.
