Abstract:
Excerpts from the Preface: This study of advanced mechanization of grocery warehouse operations is part of a broad program aimed at reducing the cost of marketing farm products. One phase of this research is the development of methods for increasing efficiency of food wholesaling. Increased efficiency results in better service or lower marketing costs and savings will be reflected in lower consumer prices, in increased producer returns, or in both.
