Abstract: Excerpt from p. 849 of Vol. 70, January–June, 1934, of the Experiment Station Record: This report of a study made in 1933 of this district, which contains about 90,000 acres in Scottsbluff and Morrill Counties, discusses the physical and social characteristics, the organization and financing, water rights, water supply, contractual relations with the United States and adjoining units, pending litigation, the management and operating organization and finances of the district, State, county, and school taxes, bonded indebtedness, individual indebtedness, farm ownership and operation, types of agriculture and returns from farming, and farm income in relation to fixed charges in the counties in which the district is located. A report on classification of the lands of the district made by the conservation and survey division of the University of Nebraska and the Nebraska Experiment Station is also included.
