Abstract:
This study investigates the magnitude of yield variability at the farm level, compares farm and county variability and investigates relationships between farm level yield variability and other farm characteristics. The data indicate substantial differences among farms, county variability is lower, and significant relationships exist between variability and other farm characteristics.
