Abstract:
The Administration's proposed federal income tax program will result in an improved after-tax cash flow position for cotton-sorghum farms,on the Southern High Plains. The effect of the proposed tax change on farm structure in the area will essentially be neutral. These results were obtained by simulating a typical farm over the 1981-1990 planning horizon, using both the current and proposed income tax schedules.
