No 35681, 1999 Annual Meeting, July 11-14, 1999, Fargo, ND from Western Agricultural Economics Association

Abstract: Little research has been done on the economic benefits of snowmobiling. This study used a cluster analysis and the travel cost method to identify different snowmobiler segments and estimate their respective consumer surplus values. Consumer surplus estimates ranged from $12 to $49 per day for the different segments.
