Abstract:
Competitiveness based on intellectual sources not only lets make higher profits, but also constitutes the better base for development of the enterprise than the price competitiveness being based on lowest costs of work or raw materials. She is conditioned with appropriate protection of the intellectual property. Unfortunately for Polish enterprises, of especially a sector SMEs the protection of intellectual property constitutes the specific barrier which hinders innovation and creativity. The purpose of the article is to present possible intellectual property protection paths as a process and actions aimed to protect resources held by an organization and being strategic for it. These actions are a significant component of managing a modern enterprise.
