ERES from European Real Estate Society (ERES)
Abstract:
"In principle, the article applies results of a market structure analysis of the FM industry in Europe, which is part of an international research project on facilities management. After a brief introduction into the European facilities management market, its development and characteristic supplier types, the article outlines a fundamental market structure and examines whether the individual European FM markets, for all their differences, have certain things in com-mon that point to a general market-development model. Relevant parameters such as Michael E. Porter's ""competitive forces"" are used to analyse typical market and business models. It also cate-gorises the countries of Europe in terms of market maturity. This investigation is an essential component of the doctoral thesis of Mr. Sven A. Teichmann MBE, doctoral candidate of Prof. Dr. Karl-Werner Schulte HonRICS CRE at the International Real Estate Business School (IREBS) of the University of Regensburg in Germany."
