Abstract: The purpose of the paper is to analyse the peculiarities of the Italian office market, focused on the cities of Milan and Rome, in comparison with the other major European markets. The analysis would also concentrate on tenants requirements in the changing business and market environment, particularly in terms of location and building preferencies, factors influencing the demand for space, attention to sustainability.
