Abstract: The Quarterly Economic Update (QEU) provides a comprehensive and updated analysis of recent economic performance in Sri Lanka. The QEU for January 2012 highlighted strong economic growth estimated in 2010 and 2011, and noted some indications that the economy has reaching its potential. Impact of the European economic slowdown should be carefully monitored in 2012. The QEU also contains a brief summary of Budget 2012.
