Supply and Use Tables for Selected Economies in Asia and the Pacific: A Research Study

Abstract: This report presents the supply and use tables based on the 1993 SNA for 18 economies in Asia and the Pacific region. The tables show detailed structure of the supply and uses of goods and services within an economy and enable a robust cross-country comparison of gross value added and its components by activity; and domestic output, inter-industry use, consumption expenditure, capital formation, exports and imports, by products. Hence, they provide data on the supply and disposition of products within a balanced framework and thereby improving the accuracy of national accounts data which are useful for informed policy-making decisions.
