Abstract:
The report proposes an analysis to monitor the territorial situation of the population's digital skills using the indicators currently available at regional level, and relating them to certain socio-demographic characteristics that may be their determinants, such as education, income, advanced employment. The analysis at the level of individual European regions shows that better digital competences are associated with a relatively younger population, a higher average level of education, a higher share of employment in technologically advanced sectors, and a higher average income. Following the analysis, in the conclusions, the areas that can be leveraged in Apulia are highlighted.
