Abstract: The mission of the International Association of Deposit Insurers is to contribute to the enhancement of deposit insurance effectiveness by promoting guidance and international cooperation. As part of its work, IADI undertakes research to provide guidance on deposit insurance issues. The findings and recommendations presented in this paper are preliminary, and their objective is to provide future guidance for countries considering or in the process of transitioning from a blanket guarantee or extended coverage to a limited coverage system.
