Abstract:
This paper presents the results of a research project conducted by the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC) on behalf of the Regional Committee of North America (RCNA) to analyze the contingency plan testing programs of deposit insurers and resolution authorities in Canada, the United States and Mexico. The contributors to the research project are: the Autorite des marches financiers (AMF), CDIC, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), and the Instituto para la Proteccion al Ahorro Bancario (IPAB). The project employed qualitative research methodologies, namely, a literature review, survey, and case studies.
