Abstract: “Cité de l’économie”, Citéco, is the new Parisian interactive museum for economic education: the first of its kind in Europe! Citéco is housed in Hôtel Gaillard, a private mansion built in the 19th century and then bought by the Banque de France (hereafter BDF). The BDF financed the restoration and adaptation to the general public of this historic monument. Citéco now offers up to twelve hours of visits with about 50 entertaining videos and 25 educational games (see Picture 1).

La Cité de l’économie, Citéco, est le nouveau musée parisien interactif d’éducation économique : une première en Europe ! Citéco est logée dans l’Hôtel Gaillard, château néo-Renaissance construit au 19ième siècle, puis acheté par la Banque de France (BDF). Celle-ci a financé la restauration et l’adaptation à tous les publics de ce monument historique. Citéco permet désormais jusqu’à douze heures de visites avec quelque cinquante vidéos ludiques et la moitié de jeux pédagogiques (cf. Photo 1).
