Abstract: Game theory provides examples and a few valuable lessons for negotiators, whether hawks or doves, such as the risk of “falling off a cliff” in the “game of chicken”. Investment bank strategists and academics have already started toying with such tools to analyse the Brexit “game”. Surely the negotiators’ war rooms have been paying attention.

La théorie des jeux fournit des exemples et des leçons utiles pour les négociateurs qu’ils soient faucons ou colombes, tels que le risque de "tomber d'une falaise" dans le jeu dit de la "poule mouillée" (game of chicken). Des stratèges de banques d'investissement et des universitaires ont déjà commencé à jouer avec ces outils pour analyser la "partie" du Brexit. Les états-majors des négociateurs y accordent certainement toute leur attention.
