Abstract: Opinion surveys show that women are more sensitive than men to inflation, and expect higher levels. This difference may stem from their different daily shopping experiences. Women report more frequently than men that they had to adjust their consumption decisions in response to the inflationary shock of 2022-23.

Dans les enquêtes d’opinion, les femmes se révèlent plus sensibles que les hommes à l’inflation, qu’elles anticipent à un niveau plus élevé. Cette différence peut être reliée à des expériences différentes d’achats au quotidien. Les femmes déclarent plus fréquemment que les hommes avoir dû ajuster leurs décisions de consommation face au choc inflationniste de 2022-2023.
