Eco Notepad from Banque de France

Abstract: Climate change and nature degradation expose banks to new financial risks. Since 2020, three levers have enabled the public authorities to bring about changes in the practices of French banks: the development of forward-looking tools (scenarios, stress tests), the strengthening of supervision and, since 2026, the requirement to draw up a prudential transition plan.
