Abstract: The paper is part of a larger study of poverty and poverty alleviation in Botswana, undertaken by BIDPA for the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning. The paper presents revised estimates of the Poverty Datum Line (PDL) for Botswana, needed to analyse the household income and expenditure survey for 1993/94 and 1985/86 in terms of poverty.
