Abstract: This paper offers a survey of recent literature, both theoretical and empirical, on the exchange of information in credit markets. Conditions for voluntary exchange of information are highlighted, and the effects of the exchange of information on the incentives of lenders and borrowers, the level of credit and credit risk are analyzed.
