Abstract: This talk will briefly review the concepts and jargon of machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI), and demonstrate how to use these tools in Stata. Specific examples will include random forests and gradient boosting machines using Stata's suite of h2oml commands, and the user-written commands "chatgpt", "claude", "gemini", and "grok".
