Abstract:
A survey of Irish residents shows that inflation expectations oneyear ahead increased sharply in recent months and have remained elevated. At the same time, Irish workers do not appear to expect their earnings to grow at a similar pace over the next year. As a result, workers expect their real earnings to decline on average.
