Congressional Budget Office
No 61135, Reports from Congressional Budget Office
Abstract:
This report provides additional details about the economic forecast that CBO published on January 17, 2025, in The Budget and Economic Outlook: 2025 to 2035. In CBO’s current forecast, the economy grows more slowly in calendar years 2025 and 2026 than it did in 2024, and economic growth averages roughly 1.8 percent a year from 2027 to 2035. The rate of inflation continues to ease over the next two years, reaching 2 percent by 2027 and stabilizing thereafter.
