Abstract:
The aim of this paper is to present a database that contains a new way to relate quantitative and qualitative information. The authors intend to make it available for economic history researchers. It is a database about the "provincial inquiries", an important source of information on economic subjects. The article discusses the initial results of the database, that includes an inventory and a classification of documents according to subject, time and space of two codices that answers 1850's inquiries. Furthermore, an exhausting treatment of economic information is also done, covering production and commerce data.
