Abstract: Objective. To analyze the emergency hospital network for stroke (AVC) and myocardial infarction (IAM) in Minas Gerais. Methods. Hospitals were classified into three groups according to their accreditation status in CNES, ordinances, and resolutions from the Ministry of Health and the State Department of Health of Minas Gerais. Indicators of availability, performance, occupancy, and a typology of health micro-regions regarding AVC/IAM care were constructed. Results. Concentration of accredited hospitals in the South and Central regions and absence of accredited units in the Northwest. A significant proportion of admissions occur in non-accredited hospitals, indicating access barriers. Coverage of care varies among health micro-regions, with the best results in Belo Horizonte, Uberlândia, and Divinópolis. The North and Northwest regions present low resolvability. Conclusions. Regional disparities underscore the need to reorganize and standardize emergency services in the state.
