Abstract:
A Suntory-Toyota Symposium was held at the International Centre for Economics and Related Disciplines on 10 December 1993 under the chairmanship of Dr Antony Best. The discussion focussed on 'Aspects of Interwar China' and Dr Tao's paper was one of those presented. Dr Wenzhao Tao who was visiting Britain at the time belongs to the Institute of Modern History of the Chinese Academy of Social Science. He has now become deputy director of the Institute of American Studies there, his address being 1 Dongchang Hutong, Wangfu Dajie, Beijing.
