Abstract:
A Suntory-Toyota Symposium was held at the International Centre for Economics and Related Disciplines on Friday, 9 December 1994. There were two speakers at the symposium: Professor Shigeru Akita of Osaka University of Foreign Studies is currently academic visitor at the School of Oriental and African Studies. He is a specialist on British imperial policy. Susan Townsend is currently completing a doctorate on the life and ideas of Yanaihara Tadao in the History Department, University of Sheffield.
