Abstract:
This paper presents the Dutch higher education and research system. It describes themain actors, the framework conditions for science, and recent policies aimed atstrengthening the science system of the Netherlands. It is mainly descriptive and meantto give a quick overview. Hyperlinks and additional literature are included for readersthat wish to dig deeper.
