Abstract:
The purpose of this paper is to show the major demographic changes of Juarez in the first decade of the 21st century. A decade marked by the significant impact of the United States economic crisis in 2002 and 2008 and by violence crisis due to the fighting of organized crime. The results allow us to see a demographic transformation of the three components responsible for conditioning the volume and structure of the population, which led to a pronounced decline in the rate of population growth. In addition, migration is identified as a new phenomenon to analyse in the new demographic reality of Juarez.
