Abstract: (English) More than 500 students from upper secondary schools in Rome and Provincia of Rome have been questioned about science: from information channels to the science policy decision making, from scientific path at school (including textbooks and laboratories) to scientific profession and motivation. Data analysed are compared with other national and international inquiries. Trust in science is confirmed, but students want more participation and interaction between local and global contexts. Gender analysis places girls position out of the commonplace. (Italiano) Più di 500 studenti e studentesse di istituti secondari superiori di Roma e Provincia si interrogano sulla scienza: dai canali informativi al processo decisionale, dal percorso scolastico (corso di scienze, laboratori e libri di testo) alla professione e le motivazioni per intraprenderne la carriera. I dati vengono confrontati con le principali indagini nazionali ed internazionali. Ne emerge un quadro articolato, in cui la fiducia verso la scienza viene confermata, ma si richiede più concretezza e partecipazione. Fuori dai luoghi comuni anche la posizione delle ragazze nei confronti della scienza.
