Abstract: (English) This paper proposes the analysis and design of a data warehouse based on the Italian Electronic Healthcare Record (EHR) infrastructure. In particular, it outlines the benefits in the use of the EHR as a Business Intelligence tool, focusing on the system administration and governance (secondary uses). The focus is posed on the LUMIR project (Lucania Medici in Rete), the EHR developed for the Basilicata region. Its architecture and logical model have been used to design the data warehouse and to analyze the main social-health business processes, with particular attention to the healthcare pathway of patients suffering from diabetes mellitus. The present work has been discussed as a thesis for the Master’s Degree in Governance of information systems: development, management, monitoring (Academic year 2011/2012). (Italiano) Questo lavoro propone l’analisi e la progettazione di un data warehouse basato sull’infrastruttura del Fascicolo Sanitario Elettronico (FSE) sviluppato in Italia. In particolare vengono analizzati i vantaggi nell’utilizzo del FSE come strumento di Business Intelligence, approfondendo le attività di amministrazione e governo del sistema (usi secondari). L’attenzione è focalizzata sul progetto LUMIR (Lucania Medici in Rete), il FSE della Regione Basilicata, la cui architettura e modello logico rappresentano il punto di partenza per la progettazione del data warehouse e per l’analisi dei principali processi di business in ambito socio-sanitario, con particolare riferimento al percorso assistenziale dei pazienti affetti da diabete mellito. Il presente lavoro è stato discusso come Tesi di Master di II livello in Governo dei sistemi informativi: sviluppo, gestione, monitoraggio (A.A. 2011/2012).
