Abstract:
This article aims to show the reader the importance of considering the cultural factor when conducting negotiations at an international level, in this case with South Korea; for this, it was carried out an analysis of the South Korean culture and presented relevant details to achieve a greater acceptance of the product to be exported, as well as a series of general recommendations to establish business relations in the Asian country. For the purposes of the investigation, it has been selected the white manjar or Colombian milk candy, specifically from the Valle del Cauca area. Initially, it is made an analysis of the profile of the South Korean consumer and an analysis of the multiple routes of access to the country, determining that to favor the viability of the export, it is convenient to take a sea access route, since it presents not only economic benefits, but also of conservation and refrigeration. Finally, it is presented a price analysis based on the current cost of the product in Colombia, adding the characteristics to be taken into account when exporting it.
