Abstract:
Based on the review of historical events, from 1882 till our current days, regarding the public transportation system in Bogotá, and taking into account concepts taken from the general systems theory and contingency model, this essay pretends to clarify the link between the inefficiency of the transportation system and the interests of specific individuals. Besides, from a systemic perspective, the intention of this essay is to comment the consequences and implications of this phenomenon that has prevailed over the collective interests.
