Abstract:
A decision tree is used to assess the cost effectiveness of adding the type B natriuretic peptid to the revised Lee index of cardiovascular risk. The Lee=3 strategy is cost effective for a WTP lower than Col $11.292.903 at a cost per patient of Col $79.452. Lee strategy with a threshold of 3 has the best profile of cost effectiveness, but the results were very sensitive to the probability of cardio vascular events.
