Abstract:
The formation of the European Common Market (ECM) has generated the tendency to consider business with a global perspective more than just a national interest. This tendency recognizes the necessity of understanding the characteristics of the managerial models of the different countries that compose the ECM. The national peculiarities will be ref1ected in their organizational management methods as well as in their ways of negotiating and competing. In this article we attempt to elaborate a profile of the Spanish executive: his entrepreneurial economic environment, his professional training, and the characteristics of the management system that he has developed in arder to be adapted to this environment. In our exploratory research we have included Spain and France, along with Germany and England in order to place an intemational comparison of the first two.
