How high are the barriers of the regional price regulation in Russia?

Abstract: The project intends to study how significant are the barriers erected by the regional administrations for interregional flow of goods. The project also considers consequences of the regional protectionist policies for economic development of the regions. Theoretical analysis is based on the model of interregional trade. The model allows us to formulate testable hypotheses for the empirical analysis. We suggest system of regression equations to be estimated using panel data.
