Abstract: The synthesis of di- and trioktylcyclopentadienes have been carried out by reaction of alkylation of cyclopentadiene by n-oktyl alcohol in the presence of potassium hydroxideSynthesized polyaoktylcyclopentadienes have been used as syntons for synthesis of polyalkylcyclopentans, used as lubricantsDi- and trioktylcyclopentadienes have been receiced with good yields (64-69%)
