Abstract:
Intensifying of competition for the global transit and the rapid development of economic cooperation and trade relations between Europe and Asia, which cannot be successful without effective organization of transport system, poses the new challenges before the transport and logistics system of the ECO member countries. Historically, the sea transport has played a major role in providing trade flows between Europe and Asia. But today, the countries are taken into account new, alternative modes of transportation, in order to avoid the traffic by sea and to find a more competitive and attractive solutions.
