Incidencia de las transferencias públicas en el ingreso de los trabajadores de salario mínimo en México: actualización 2006 y análisis de perfiles

Abstract: This study estimates the incidence of public monetary and in kind transfers on the income of households with workers earning the minimum wage in Mexico. The study extends and updates a previous study, "Las transferencias públicas en el costo de vida de los hogares con trabajadores de salario mínimo en México". This study uses the most recent information available on the socioeconomic conditions of households with minimum wage workers, and their access to public transfers and services (Encuesta Nacional de Ingresos y Gastos de los Hogares 2006), as well as on public spending on these benefits. The study also presents an analysis by specific household profiles, defined by the most common demographic structures representative of the lifecycle and organization of families in Mexico, differentiated by their use of public resources.
