Abstract:
(WP08/02 Clave pdf) There is a growing interest in empirical research in operations management. The Q-sort method, which is a method of assessing reliability and construct validity of questionnaire items at a pre-testing stage, is described. The method is cost efficient and simple, yet provides ample insight into potential problem areas in the questionnaire items that are being tested. Two examples are provided on how the method was actually applied in large-scale survey research.
