Abstract: The relationship between trade liberalization and industrial productivity in developing countries, drawing upon a large number of studies in Latin America, Africa and Asia is explored. Beginning with a discussion of an appropriate measure of trade liberalization, the paper reviews the relationship between trade liberalization and industrial productivity at different levels of disaggregation [WP No. 77].
