Abstract:
A pilot testing of the new WHO Rapid Advice Guidelines Group is done. It also talks about the International Health Regulations (IHR). These regulations are an international legal instrument designed to ensure maximum protection against the international spread of infectious disease while minimizing restrictions on travel and trade. The limitations of IHR and the steps to be taken in the future are outlined [editorial PLos Medicine].
